Wisdom teeth, or third molars, are a set of four teeth that erupt into the back four corners of the mouth. This usually occurs between the ages of 17 to 21. Not everyone needs to have his or her wisdom teeth out but if they are causing discomfort it is recommended to have them reviewed by the dentist.

Digital intra oral x-rays help us diagnose and plan treatment. OPG or full mouth x-ray is also offered in our practice - they give a good overview of teeth, jaw bones and temporo-mandibular joints (TMJ).

Custom fitted mouthguards are recommended by the dental profession as they are the most effective in preventing injuries to the teeth and jaws. They are constructed in the surgery directly from an impression taken of your teeth and will fit firmly and comfortably over your teeth. We also offer personal customisation.
Hailing from Brewarrina, Charlie graduated with a Bachelor of Dentistry (Honours) from the University of Sydney in 2014. He moved to Cobar with his wife Caroline, who is also a dentist, in 2015 who also wanted to escape the city and service Western New South Wales. They have loved every day since.
Given the vast distances to the nearest dental specialists Charlie has acquired a skill set rapidly to be able to solve problems for his patients to save them the long travel times. Charlie considers himself patient, kind and caring and always willing to lend an ear to his patients presenting problems.
Charlie enjoys restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics and orthodontics and has a broad range of skills in all other areas of dentistry. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association and frequently attends meetings and courses to stay abreast of the exciting changes in the dental world.
Dr Caroline graduated in 2013 from the University of Sydney with honors. After 1 year in the public sector, she moved to Cobar, originally committing to 2 years, she now has plans to try out becoming a local.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry with an interest in oral surgery and implants. She also spends most of her spare time in the pre-season making custom mouthguards to protect our youngest sports stars.
When she's not working you will find her with one or all of her three young children.
